My boots! I bought a pair of leather burgundy boots, doc Martin style but softer and with the zip on the side and big chunky laces, I love them. Comfy, warm and groovy.
My mum's 70's platform shoes. She used to be super stylish and bought really high quality items. Also my varnish red Mary Jane shoes, a very cheap buy but they have such an high impact on an outfit and they waken the Dorothy in me.
My uncle’s belt from when he was in the Italian Air Force training. It’s military green canvas with a slide buckle. I see my uncle rarely, the belt reminds me of him … and it looks fab with jeans too.
What accessory or item can you NEVER leave home without?
A scarf or a foulard. I like to feel warm around my neck and I wear something even during the summer. Plus I find it a great way to give a burst of colour or add a pattern to a otherwise plain outfit.
A hat that I bought last year at a craft fair in Cison di Valmarino in Veneto - Italy. It is hand made by a lady in Rome, Rosella Panzecchi. (www.interpretazioniartistiche.it)
What's your favourite colour?
I don't have one … I like them all. I am not afraid of wearing brights even if for a more everyday wear I prefer darker shades with a splash of rich red, green or fuchsia.
You’ve been invited to a special event last minute – what do you wear?
A dress. I love dresses. They instantly make me feel feminine with a nice pair of heels … maybe a necklace and you are ready to go!
With my three young and fast children I always need to be ready for a quick sprint so flat shoes are a must. A body warmer, jeans and a colourful scarf to pick up my shoes’ shade is my country/sporty look for a relaxed outdoor day out.
Where to you like to shop?
My local high street in Princes Risbrough has two women’s clothes shops: one is the Chocolate Boutique and the other is the best kept secret in town … above the Fieldmouse Cheese Shop & Deli ;-) I like to treat myself to a quick browse every now and then. Both shops offer a great range of accessories, clothes and styles.
Where is your favourite place?
Difficult to say …Siena in Italy but also Stockholm. I went there on a round trip of Europe in my twenties. I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the city and the fact that people could fish salmons in the water right in front of their blocks of flats (or so I was told).
Neutrals or brights?
Both! Zing the neutral with a bright accessory.
Heels or flats?
Heels - I wear flats everyday but my favorite are heels, whenever I got the chance. My posture change and my attitude too; I feel more confident, silly isn’t it?
