So you’ve been invited to a Christmas party. Maybe your friends have decided to have a get together for New Years Eve. Office party giving you nightmares – and what are you going to wear?

Here’s a few ideas of where to head to on the high street, based on your style personality. For each idea there are some clues as to what YOUR style personality might be – and yes, we all have one!

Creative
If you have a creative element to your style personality your outfit will probably be a work of art. You may well decide on your party look on the day as you don’t like to plan - who knows how you’ll feel on the day? It might be a beautiful one-off vintage piece or an ensemble that completely mixes style & texture (think leather & lace, metallic with cotton).

Dramatic
You will be the centre of attention and look a-ma-zing. Go for something that is high fashion with dramatic accessories. For you it might be a jumpsuit, sky-high heels or statement jewellery. Above all, it’s got to be seen.

Romantic
All things feminine, floral or delicate. You may want to choose a gorgeous dress in lace or perhaps a touch of floral. It might be tactile with velvet, devore or silk. Don’t forget those accessories to make the outfit – a pretty drawstring handbag and maybe some sparkly shoes.

Classic
It’s got to be well put together and ideally co-ordinated. A well-fitting style such as a shift dress or trousers and blouse combination would be a great choice. Be sure to up the glamour stakes by including colour and detail in accessories too – keep them simple yet elegant.

Natural
Primarily you will want to feel comfortable. And warm. But this doesn’t mean you have to compromise in the style stakes. Think about an elegant combination of satin or ponte neat trousers with a cashmere knit worn with a favourite necklace or sparkle. If you go for heels, remember to sneak some flats into your bag for the journey home.

City Chic
It’s all about the statement and your probably have the perfect outfit combination in your wardrobe already. Whilst your look is understated it is always current and up to date. So how about adding an on-trend stylish clutch and a fab pair of patent heels just for a touch more glamour for the perfect party look.
